Everyone has the rights to live

Welcome to Emil Metodiev's Site

I was born in 1981 in a small town near by Rila Mountain, Southwest Bulgaria. The town population is about 35-40 000 inhabitants. There are four Roma/Gypsy communities, each located in the outskirt of the town. About 5000-6000 Roma live in all communities, two of the communities are mixed and Roma and non-Roma live together. I grown up in the community called “Gorna Mahala” (Up neighborhood). It’s mixed and the Roma/Gypsy population is about 500 people. It’s a community with one block and surrounding with small houses. I have one brother, who is married and has one boy, and I have a sister who is merried as well and has one daughter. Both are living in my community with my parents.
